FAQ
Here you’ll find all the answers to your questions and everything you need to know about MyWater.
What is MyWater.Community?
💧A machine that filters tap water🚰 using multiple technologies: an initial coconut carbon filter, two reverse osmosis membranes, a remineralization system, and a vortex effect for revitalization.
🔧 It’s also a complete, hassle-free service — covering installation, maintenance, filter replacement, and recycling.
🗣️ And finally, it’s a community made up of people like you and me, as well as doctors, naturopaths, toxicologists, and more — citizens who care about health, connected through a WhatsApp group that allows quick exchanges and immediate support whenever needed.
Do you also install in France?
Yes, our teams install in France and Belgium.

How many liters of water are needed to produce 1 liter of filtered water?
It’s true that reverse osmosis releases some water that isn’t consumed.
1 liter of MyWater is produced while releasing 1 liter of water — along with all the pollutants contained in those two liters.
This is less than most brands, which discharge up to 3 liters for every liter of purified water. And each time, it’s one plastic bottle avoided.
At MyWater, we call this the passive consumption of water — just like the water used for cleaning, washing, or flushing toilets.
1 liter of MyWater for 1 liter released = 1 plastic bottle avoided.
Have you ever thought about that?
The production of a single 1-liter bottle of mineral water consumes 1.8 liters for manufacturing and 2 liters for cleaning the glass container.
A single toilet flush uses at least 7 liters.
1 kg of rice requires 2,500 liters of water.
The gold medal goes to meat — up to 15,000 liters of water for 1 kg.
👉 Tip: Geoffrey de Chièvres redirected the MyWater pump’s discharge into his rainwater tank. The result: that water is fully recovered and used to flush his toilets.
✅ Zero waste — a smart use of every drop!
What does MyWater taste like?
It tastes clean. No chlorine, no metallic notes, no bitterness. Just smooth, light, flowing water that enhances your coffee, your tea, your body.
🥰 Our members say they’ve rediscovered the simple pleasure of drinking water. And guess what? The taste can be adjusted based on the minerals you choose.
How do you adjust the taste of the water?
By adjusting the amount of dry residue contained in one liter of water.
These dry residues are the essential minerals naturally present in tap water.
Their quantity determines — in addition to purity — the taste of the water you drink.
The level of dry residue is set during the installation of your individual MyWater purification station.
How does it work?
After placing the machine near the kitchen sink, the installer adjusts the filter through three different settings.
The user tastes the resulting waters and chooses their favorite — the final setting will deliver that one.
Specifically, what is installed?
🚰 A stylish tap to place next to your sink, plus a compact filtration station about the size of a briefcase.
🔧Its dimensions? 45 x 45 x 12 cm. Too big to fit under the sink? It can be installed at a reasonable distance, in another cabinet.
💧Just mention it when requesting your trial — this will allow the team to schedule a slightly longer visit. Any questions? Feel free to contact us!
What is reverse osmosis?
Reverse osmosis is the gold standard of purification — 0.0001 micron, just like in hospitals.
An ultra-fine filtration process that removes up to 99% of impurities: heavy metals, chemical residues, hormones, bacteria, and more.
Then, the water is naturally remineralized with calcium, magnesium, and other elements for optimal balance.
👅 The result? Clear, smooth water with no unwanted taste — simply pleasant to drink.
🥤 And as a bonus: you can even adjust the flavor according to your preferred mineral profile.
What’s the difference between reverse osmosis and a water softener?
A water softener removes limescale, not toxins.
Isn’t purified water “dead” if everything is removed?
That’s why we intelligently remineralize the water after filtration.
That said, it seems that water matters more for what it carries away than for what it brings in.
According to the naturopaths in our Community, our bodies get the minerals they need from fruits and vegetables. The minerals found in water, on the other hand, tend to burden our kidneys. It’s therefore better to drink low-mineral water.
A €33/month subscription — how do you justify this price?
€33 is less than what a family spends on bottled water each month.
And with that, you say goodbye to plastic, heavy packs, and waste.
✅ Included: equipment, maintenance, filters, customer service, and even a 15-day free trial.
You rent your music, your bike... so why not your source of pure water?
Why subscribe?
Because after looking at the issue from every angle, this is the solution MyWater found to make pure water accessible to as many people as possible.
💧Instead of spending €2,500 to €3,500 on a quality reverse osmosis filter — which would pay for itself in seven years — you pay €33 per month. In seven years, MyWater will have already upgraded you to the next generation.
💧Having a good machine at home isn’t enough. To keep your water healthy, maintenance and filter replacement are essential. At MyWater, we monitor the condition of your filters and call you to schedule an appointment when it’s time to replace them.
💧No surprises: the cost of the filters is included (while some companies charge up to €200 for these so-called “consumables”) — and so is their recycling.
💧Your mini purification station is maintained with great care — and that’s a good thing, because buying it outright would cost a small fortune.
In short, for €33 per month — the price of bottled water — you enjoy 💧 ultra-pure water with zero mental load (and zero physical load too, since you no longer have to carry bottles 😉).
And what about vulnerable communities? Do you think about them?
Absolutely. We already work with associations, schools, and social organizations to offer solidarity-based plans.
We want everyone to have access to healthy water, whatever their situation.
Because drinking clean water is a right, not a privilege.
💙 Pure water, for everyone.
Where’s the catch?
There isn’t one. MyWater is a small Belgian scale-up whose mission is to make high-quality drinking water accessible to as many people as possible.
Not happy? You can cancel your subscription anytime.
Do you have black taps or other colors?
No, because in the absence of studies proving otherwise, we prefer to avoid taps that could release plastic or paint particles.
However, we are fully confident in the quality of our tap: it’s made of brushed stainless steel, 18/10 alloy — meaning food-grade quality.
All water takes on traces of the metal it passes through. If the tap isn’t high quality, the water can become contaminated with metals that are toxic to health.
The entire cycle through which MyWater water passes is designed to ensure that, at the outlet, the water remains of the highest quality.
Is there any plastic in your machine?
All internal components are made from John Guest plastics certified NSF51 for food safety and NSF61 for being BPA-free (Bisphenol A).
They do not release microplastics, and the exterior is made from recycled plastic.
Do you install on stone or porcelain sinks, etc.?
Yes, our installers drill through all types of materials with great care, taking their time.
Don’t forget to attach photos of your sink and cabinet when submitting your installation request. This helps us plan the required duration of the visit.
Is an electrical outlet required under the sink?
Yes, an electrical outlet is required, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be under the sink.
What’s in the box?
- A coconut carbon filter that captures large molecules.
- Two reverse osmosis membranes — water molecules pass through at a thousandth of a micron, but pollutants do not.
- A device placed between the two reverse osmosis filtrations that extracts essential minerals and re-injects them at the end.
- A vortex effect that energizes the water — at least for those who believe in it (including Masaru Emoto).
How much does it cost?
From €99 to €149 for installation, depending on complexity.
€33 per month for usage, maintenance, filters, and their replacement.
Where is MyWater made?
No, not in China — in Italy, in a region renowned for high-precision mechanics (it’s also where the famous Ducati motorcycles are made).
Our machine is protected by several patents, the filters are always in stock, and repairs are fully possible.
What can you do with MyWater water?
Drink it, cook with it, give it to your pets and plants if you like. Young mothers use it for baby bottles, diaper changes, and even to gently clean their little one’s cheeks. Some beauty lovers do the same.
However, there’s no need to use it for washing dishes, cleaning, showering, or bathing.
Who are the installers?
Our installers (yes, most of them are women) are trained to carry out careful installations and take the time needed to do the job right. (Don’t forget to send photos of your kitchen so they can estimate how long the installation will take.)
They are also fully able to answer all your questions — whether about how the machine works or about the role of water in our health. In fact, most of them come from wellness backgrounds (occupational therapists, fascia therapists, yoga teachers, etc.) and have completed a six-month training program as part of the Brussels Region’s Professional Integration initiative. You could call them “water therapists.”
They are also the ones who will come to replace your filters — the key to ensuring optimal performance and perfectly pure water, always.
Why a community?
Nope, MyWater isn’t a cult 😅 Just a network bringing together its users — people who care about health, including experts like toxicologists, naturopaths, doctors, and more.
Everyone exchanges directly through a WhatsApp conversation, which also allows the team to respond quickly in case of a technical issue or simply a user question.
Have you had your water tested?
In Belgium, the independent accredited laboratory Eurofins conducted before-and-after tests with three of our members in Ittre, Wavre, and Chièvres. In all three cases, traces of pesticide metabolites, PFAS, and TFA — abnormally present in tap water — had completely disappeared. The same results were confirmed in Lectoure, in the Gers region of France, by the Eurofins laboratory.
How can I know if my water is polluted?
