MyWater: technical standards
NSF Standards
The fittings used in MyWater systems, manufactured by John Guest (an American brand), are certified NSF 51 to NSF 61, ensuring optimal safety.
Regarding the membranes, the NSF 58 standard mainly applies to products intended for or originating from the North American market. It is not required in Europe, where regulations impose equivalent standards, including:
- Regulation EC No. 1935/2004 on materials in contact with drinking water.
The membranes we use meet all these strict requirements and are the result of unique expertise.
Furthermore, as part of MyWater’s intellectual property, certain technical information, such as the origin of the membranes, is not made fully public.
Indeed, these elements are protected by existing and future patents and confidential know-how developed in collaboration with our technical partners.
This choice of confidentiality does not change the essential point:
-> The analysis results, carried out by independent laboratories — including those featured in the RTBF “Investigation” program (May 28) — clearly demonstrate the effectiveness of our systems.
The analysis results performed by Eurofins (laboratory approved by AFSCA and ARS) are published on www.MyWater.community
They confirm the complete elimination of PFAS & TFA, pesticide metabolites, and many other emerging pollutants.
MyWater Maintenance
MyWater has developed an internal application allowing predictive maintenance.
Every 4 months, members are invited to report their system’s saturation levels, allowing maintenance to be scheduled based on real data rather than theoretical dates, unlike competitors.
MyWater chose to involve its community in data collection every 4 months because the quality of incoming water can vary and may require earlier maintenance than expected.
MyWater systems are equipped with control alerts inviting users to contact the support center 7 days a week.
Our commitment remains unchanged: to provide you with water of impeccable quality over the long term, with a spirit of rigor, safety, transparency, and friendliness.
We remain at your disposal for any additional questions.
You can trust the water you drink for your health. Trust MyWater, its service, and its community.
It’s this trust in nature, in people, and in technology that we promote, because we believe it is the key to a better and healthier world.
